Our Beaches Need Us
Our beaches are a unique a precious resource.
They make Nantucket, Nantucket.
They are a major driver of our economy.
They are at risk from erosion-control efforts
that can degrade and destroy them.
THEY NEED US TO PRESERVE
AND PROTECT THEM.
What we do
We attend and speak st meetings (of the ConCom, the Select Board, and others) to advocate for our beaches
We propose and advocate successfully for a Town Meeting article to require Town Meeting approval for the use of public land for private erosion control
We work cooperatively with other island organizations
